Kat Capel is a writer, PhD candidate and co-director of the expanded literary workshop series Read the Room, which focuses on the facilitation of writing workshops, lectures and readings for those writing outside the university.
Their first poetry manuscript ‘work & love’ was highly commended by the Deakin University Nonfiction Prize and subsequently published by Incendium Radical Library in 2021. Their poetry has been published with Heat Magazine, Cordite Poetry Review, Seventh Gallery, Voiceworks, Inhabit Journal, Dead End Film Festival, the Emerging Writers Festival Gazette, and the Digital Writers Festival amongst others.
They are currently working on their first novel.
